HardWired Technologies
We design, build, and manage networks, servers, custom software, and AI systems for businesses.
Since 2001 we've been helping small businesses manage their IT, partnering with contractors to deliver complex technical projects, and building software around the way organizations actually work. We plan the work with your leadership team, build what was agreed, and stay on to manage and support it. We also develop website back-ends and application services for our clients. We deploy and configure them in the client's cloud environment, on the client's own infrastructure, or on systems managed by another agency.
Our work spans the whole stack: networks and firewalls, hypervisors and servers, Windows and Linux, mail and identity, web applications and the integrations between them, as well as inference servers, model gateways, and chat interfaces within business systems.
How we work
Most of our work takes one or more of these shapes:
01
Managed services
Ongoing responsibility for your network, servers, and software for a fixed monthly fee: monitoring, maintenance, support. We also help you plan for changing needs so your systems can support your business as it grows.
02
Projects
A defined build with a defined end: a new platform, an integration, a migration, an AI deployment. Scoped with you, delivered, documented, and then handed over or kept under management.
03
Subcontracting
Our engineering under a prime contractor's agreement, for government and commercial programs that need a technical partner.
04
Subject matter expert
An expert on your program in infrastructure, integration, or AI systems, for as long as the program needs one.
HardWired since 2001
HardWired, Inc. was founded in September 2001. In 2017 operations continued under David Davis LLC, doing business as HardWired Technologies, and since January 2024 as HardWired Technologies LLC.
David Davis
Chief Technology Officer
David sets the technical direction at HardWired Technologies and leads its engineering.
David has been programming since his early teens and building for businesses since 2001. He began in web applications with classic ASP, moved to C# and .NET the year they were released, and soon after took up Linux and Python, which he has been writing for more than 18 years. He has run mail and web servers on Windows and Linux since 2001. Today he works mainly in Python and in TypeScript and JavaScript: Vue.js front ends, Node.js and Django back ends, and the databases beneath them.
David spent twelve years building, from the ground up, the IT infrastructure and custom business software that carried Xator Corporation's growth from a handful of people to a large defense contractor, eventually acquired in a deal valued at $400 million.
His recent work is AI-first intranet platforms: real-time dashboards and control surfaces over a business's own systems, with MCP tooling and chat interfaces that drive the business systems themselves.
When a program or a company needs a subject matter expert in these areas, David is available in that role, on contract.
